I may need help translating the instructions, for the second part... but also, my car seems to have extra covers on the ECU with security bolts (designed to break off once installed)...
I don't know if this will stop me from getting to the connector.

Thatcham requirement I think. There is some info on getting these out on the UK owner's club forum. You might just have to drill the screws out and replace them by standard ones (Torx or other) to keep it looking very standard.

Ouch ! Yeah, you have the silly English anti-intrusion bolts on your ECU...
But these only forbid you to take the ECU apart to look inside it.
That doesn't prevent you "messing" with the connectors, or does it ?
You still can unplug the connector and plug the pin in the right spot, it's only a bit harder that way...
Btw, you really can't unbolt the ECU frame from the box ? That's just what you need.

Am I correct in thinking that the pictures and description above requires 1 wire to be connected between the ECU and the dashboard, or is it more complex than that?
I'm sure I can do that, but working out which pins it is may be a problem... if someone can assist I would be very happy!..
Appologies again for posting in English on here, but it is all I know...

That's right is juste one wire to connect!
here:
and here it is:
Great... is that position for the ECU end or the dashboard end?... Is it the same position in the connector at both ends?
I'm still confused because it's not clear to me which wire under the dashboard is to be connected. Also there are different coloured wires in the photos... I think there are green, yellow white and blue wires in various pictures...
c-46 shows a yellow wire
cc-44 shows white and blue wires
cc-42 shows a green wire
I understand somone is selling a kit, I think I emailed them, but have no reply... I don't know if they supply the extra pins for the plugs etc... or just the instructions and the switches...
Hello BlueAdept,
in the German Forum is someone who write that: in righthand cars is the wire that you need still connected, but it goes to the left side under the dashboard. So you d'ont have to connect a whire on the ECU.
